Mac in a Sac Alpine Down Gilet – Overview
I love this Alpine down gilet, its light and incredibly so, it keeps you warm and the best part is, it has its own bag where you can store it. This body warmer can be used in winter and in summer. I prefer it as a mid layer garment but have used it in chilly mornings as just that extra to keep the wind out.
The only problem I have with the Alpine down Gilet is that I find it a little short, I would have preferred the Gilet to be a little longer, so that its either on or below my bottom. This one stops on the hips.
The Gilet is not too puffy, its outer layer is made out of 100% Nylon but the Filling is 90% Duck down and 10% feather.
It’s machine washable and can even be tumble dried on a low heat cycle.
The Alpine down Gilet has good quality zips, there is the main zip (YKK) in front going up until the neck and two waist pockets also with zips.
There are also two large pockets inside but without zips.
I have hiked a few times with this jacket and haven’t teared it yet, although it is not made out of non tearing/ripping material. It’s good quality.
I would definitely recommend this Mac in a Sac Alpine Down Gilet.
